As a Director of Team Development in our Event Operations department, I managed between 8-16 Event Operations Coordinators and Managers based in our Portland and Seattle offices as well as remote home offices. My area of focus is professional development, career path direction, and morale for the overall Event Operations team, in addition to working with our contingent workforce program and managing some of our corporate level operations projects.

As a member of the Human Resources department at Opus Agency, the Contractor Resource Manager is responsible for recruiting, managing contractor classification and compliance, on-boarding, resourcing and managing independent contractors/freelancers to supplement the staffing needs of the agency. Graphic artists, stage managers, executive producers and travel directors are among the many roles that are filled by contractors on a variety of projects. The Director of Community Relations is responsible for the ongoing flow of communication with funding partner jurisdictions and stakeholders. In this position, I prepared quarterly and annual reports and presentations for nine City Councils, for the County of Monterey and for the Board of Directors. My role included the strategic support of the overall organization with 22 full-time staff and $6.3M annual budget, acting as a conduit between departments to ensure effective internal and external communication flow. The Director of Community Relations reports and provides administrative support to the President & CEO as well as to the Board of Directors.

As the Destination Services Specialist, I was responsible for organizing, coordinating and directing all operations, programs and personnel required for servicing meetings, conventions, sporting events and trade shows. I worked with MCCVB sales staff and meeting planners to determine servicing requirements and other support needed by our client organizations and attendees. Some of the duties included:• Conducting site inspection trips for booked events and planning required services with meeting planners• On-going Value-Add Program Development• Managing the MCCVB Convention Housing Bureau, MeetingMax• Working as a liaison with the bureau sales staff and hospitality industry on special projects; i.e.,FAMs, sales missions tradeshows, etc. • and performing other duties as required

• Began as a volunteer, October of 2011, giving 100 hours of curriculum and program development for the Sustainable Hospitality and Tourism Conference sponsored by the Business Council as a part of my Master's program field work. • I was hired on in January 2012 as Program Manager for the Sustainable Tourism Competitive Cluster. I facilitated discussion among region-wide stakeholders and managed a monthly cluster meeting, along with related initiatives and sub-committees. • I instigated the creation of a regional "Monterey Bay Ambassadors" program, and acted as the steering committee chair for program development. • Other tasks include: secretary and manager for the monthly Green Building Committee meetings, one of two program managers for the Central Coast Career Readiness Consortium, in house graphic designer and photographer, and other office wide duties.

• I began as a volunteer in July of 2010• After working as a NC State Energy Internship Program Intern, I was then promoted to Green Schools Program Coordinator. In this position I was the sustainability and environmental education specialist for Cumberland County Schools' Go Green Initiative.• Duties: perform energy audits of the 90 schools and auxiliary buildings, analyze utility bills, assist in performance contract process, design and give environmental education presentations to staff and students, facilitate all communications and marketing for the system wide initiative, and more.• Highlights: Certified 19 “green” schools, submitted proposals and was awarded over $100,000 in grants, and helped CCS avoid over $500k in energy cost compared to previous school year.
