It includes :- Developing the Image Generator software : a real time 3D earth visualization engine based on OpenGL and featuring geodetic coordinates management, advanced terrain rendering, out-of-core rendering and data streaming algorithms, 3D airport sceneries, weather effects and image calibration tools.- Occasionally modeling, texturing and including 3D content- Handling all the IG data generation process from raw GIS data (elevation, landcover, vector data...) to the final format- Updating and correcting the worldwide airport database and tools used to generate our 3D sceneriesIt requires :- A good knowledge in mathematics to deal with transformation between geodetic reference frames, 3D engine linear algebra and accurate representation of physical phenomenons (light, volumetric effects...)- A lot of optimization to get consistent 60Hz refresh rate and efficient processing of terabytes of data- Versatility to fulfill all those very different tasks
