About Sylvain Pineault

Sylvain Pineault is a native of Quebec, Canada. After receiving his First Prize in Trumpet Performance from the Conservatory of Montreal, Sylvain traveled to Basel, Switzerland and studied baroque trumpet under Edward Tarr at the Schola Cantorum. For over 25 years, Sylvain has been an active free-lance musician in the Twin Cities, playing with the Minnesota Orchestra and Sinfonia, the Children's Theatre Company, Guthrie Theatre and numerous other local orchestras. He also maintains an active career as a church musician, and is currently the Artist in Residence at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Wayzata.
