The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Analyst ensures the availability, stability, security and integrity and the effective use of the Centre’s various information systems, associated operating systems, networks and devices, focusing mainly on cloud services while maintaining a low number of on-prem services as required. The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Analyst monitors the systems closely, report problems and respond to issues of performance, stability, availability, security and support for cloud and on-prem and actively manages Cloud usage and costs.

Maintain, monitor and support the infrastructure of HP Proliant servers, HP 3par/EVA storage and VMware ESXi hosts including racking, storage provisioning, networking and OS installation. Responsible for supporting production systems, recommending improvements and the maintenance of corporate applications including SharePoint, Oracle and SQL Server databases (Team Lead), Oracle e-Business Suite, Azure/Office 365, ePersonality HR System, Exchange, Windows servers and domain controllers, and Linux servers. As project manager, was responsible for managing resources, planning, analysing, purchasing, testing and securely implementing various technologies like Riverbed WAN Optimization, Aruba Wireless and LogRhythm centralized logging appliances as well as system upgrades/migrations for Exchange, Windows domain controllers, VMware vCenter/ESXi, SharePoint, Dynamics 365 to name a few. Was also responsible for creating and updating technical documentation for these systems and providing training or knowledge transfer to new or junior staff.

Was responsible for providing operational and technical support for the systems and corporate applications utilizing database technologies (Oracle and SQL Server). Assisted the corporate Helpdesk and the other infrastructure support unit analysts, by providing second line technical support for issues on the RDBMS based applications, operating system softwares and servers, including regional office IT supported systems.

Provided timely and front line support to Centre staff in the use of Centre supported software and hardware. Coordinated prompt and efficient problem resolution and provided backup support to critical IT infrastructure components (LAN administration, corporate applications support, telecommunication and intranet administration). Maintained and analysed logs of calls and provided regular reports. Made appropriate recommendations to IT management regarding problem and change control. Also administered Heat Call Logging software/database (Oracle) and kept Centre virus free.

My main duties were to troubleshoot hardware and software problems and upgrade systems in the shop and onsite. Also to assemble and configure new computer systems for system orders, answer the phone for the helpdesk support service and work the service counter providing support and guidance to customers. Also to train new employees in company procedures and provided assistance when required.
