Currently busy disrupting marine services using unmanned systems. I am the co-founder of TideWise, a company whose mission is to dramatically reduce the risks and costs of operations at sea. At TideWise, I am responsible to oversee all product development, engineering and design of our vessels projects. I am also a member of the administrative board that defines the company's business strategy and oversee operations.Beyond unmanned vessels, I am a software engineer with a strong experience in system integration and long-term autonomy. My passion is to bring think how software can help making autonomous systems (and in particular, robots) operate in a robust way. A passion that led to the development of Rock, an open-source software framework and development methodology for robotics that has become the core of TideWise’s software systems.TideWise has been a natural step in my career, after developing advanced AUVs at DFKI in Germany and the FlatFish AUV for Shell in Salvador, BA in Brazil, as well as technically leading 13 Robotics, where I oversaw different types of system, among which the initial design and development of SquidBot, an advanced autonomous inspection system. I am proud to having had the chance to be part of these teams. They brought me where I am here, and definitely taught me a lot.
