At Pula, I am strategically in charge of coordinating the county level field operations in agricultural insurance value chain harnessing data technology to insure the previously uninsured market of 1.5 billion smallholder farmers worldwide. I have been working on a donor funded farmer-centered projects such as WFP Lemonade, KCEP CRAL, Happy Farmer & Apollo Agriculture Projects. These support farmers and Government to recover from climate impacts. I oversee;• Field field agents recruitment and training.• Evaluate end of season performance of field agents.• Identify good performers, transparently and honestly reports on non-performing staff.• Management of field agents/Ward Agricultural officers and Village Assistants.• Lead Weekly training, data and performance review against workplans and retraining of field agents on non-perfoming aspects of the KPIs.• Set workp plans with Field Manager conduct farmer trainings.• Organize and conduct Training-of-trainers for client staff.• Auditing and retraining field agents with flagged data or missing work plans.• Assisting in client training/mobilization/workshops.• Management and support for crop cut exercises.• Support Pula mobile installation and troubleshooting. • Review data submitted on Mavuno app daily to check received report performance and verify data is submitted.• Management support for yield index insurance payouts.• Data collection and data management: designing survey instruments, overseeing and monitoring data collection exercises using the Business Intelligence dashboard.• Coordination with client field staff and insurance auditors to facilitate field visits.• Escalating issues experienced in the field through reports• Setting project budgets, record keeping for expenses and reconciliation against the budget for each project. • Manage training budget and provide proof of expenditure.• Handling and resolving customer complaints from stakeholders.• Assisting in insurance product launches.

Kwale County, Kenya

• Managed field extension network and marketing activities, ensuring quality standards are met.• Developed and reported on field budgets, handled team requisitions, and acted as a liaison between field staff and head office.• Conducted on-farm training for farmers, responded to quality deviations, and resolved customer complaints to enhance service.• In 2020- 2021 operational calendar, I steered a team of 30 direct reports to a milestone achievement of recruiting and training over 600 farmers into afforestation program in Kwale county, Lunga Lunga sub County as a climate change mitigation measure. Over 44.4 acres of underutilized piece of land was converted into forest cover breaking the ceiling since Komaza Forestry Limited started its operations in Kwale county.

Kwale

• Led Local Field Teams in Kwale, overseeing daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports, ensuring alignment with company values.• Trained facilitators and Ambassadors in technical and behavioral job elements, resulting in successful farmer enrollment and tree maintenance.• Engaged local opinion leaders to garner support and led social marketing efforts in specific areas of operations.
