As Principal Architect at TV2 Regionerne, I was responsible for the practical aspects of digital development and operations. Working closely with our Head of Digital, my primary focus was on implementation, technical architecture, and solution management.A key task was the development of a new CMS based on Statamic, including the migration of data from the old CMS to the new platform. In this process, I developed several custom addons and ensured that Statamic was tailored to meet TV2 Regionernes’ requirements for horizontal scaling in a Kubernetes environment.One standout project was the creation of a Liveblog addon, built with Livewire and Laravel Reverb. This solution enables journalists to publish breaking news within seconds to all users without impacting server performance. The system hydrates existing liveblog entries via Livewire and listens on websockets for new entries and updates, reducing backend requests to just one per user, with all subsequent updates handled via websockets.Additionally, I managed the migration of video data from Kaltura to JWP. This involved developing a custom solution to transcode legacy videos and make them accessible on the new platform while minimizing storage costs. This ensured a seamless transition to a modern and scalable video platform.My role was to translate strategic goals into concrete technical solutions, ensuring robustness, scalability, and high performance for TV2 Regionerne.
