I am a DGSA (Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor) providing advice to organisation on the complex rules involving the transport of dangerous goods by road. I have held this position for over 5 years managing articulated trucks for a transport company; I renewed my cert in July 2011. In 2009 I graduated from UL with a Diploma in Safety, Health and Welfare at Work while I continued to work full time. My experience includes monitor and ensure compliance with Procedures and Legislation, completing risk assessments, maintaining fire extinguishers and first aid boxes. I have up to date ADR driver training Cert, driver CPC training current and Fas safe pass Through all my jobs experiences I have enjoyed a good working relationship with the customers I have met. I am a dedicated professional, and have recently added to my skills by successfully concluding a "Train the Trainer" course. I am very passionate about safety and finding safer ways to get the job done. I am able to work on own initiative and as part of a team. It was a great chance to drive in all 48 states of the USA and parts of Canada. At first I drove with another driver as a team. When I got first seat driver I quickly got the hunger to go up through the ranks, starting with flatbed trailers with legal loads, to wider and wider loads and then longer loads. I had to plan my routes across the different states, follow permits and organising the load on the trailer to displace the weight equally. I learned a lot by watching and helping other drivers then doing it myself.
