In the role of Mountain Sales Supervisor for the winter season, I collaborate closely with our management team and directors to foster a dynamic and motivated team. As a team leader, I inspire our frontline agents to deliver exceptional service, earning their loyalty and dedication. With a focus on operational excellence, our management team facilitates smooth day-to-day operations. We work with other departments, including Group and Tour, Events, Ski and Snowboard School, Retail, and Rental, to ensure a cohesive guest experience. This 6-month seasonal position has provided me with a unique experience and facilitated my relocation to the Roaring Fork Valley for the winter, which has been an enriching experience. I have found it incredibly rewarding to be part of a well-organized company with strong values and a reputation for excellence.

I'm proud to have launched and now lead Momentum Mountain Biking, a thriving outdoor company that specializes in private mountain bike lessons, curated trips, and high-end women's mountain bike retreats. Our team consists of 22 dedicated professional mountain bike instructors across four beautiful locations: Moab, Park City, Fruita, and Grand Junction. My responsibilities include administrative and visionary aspects of the business. We are constantly developing and implementing strategies to fuel our expansion, improve our programs, and elevate our marketing efforts. Some rewarding recent achievements include the design and launch of high-end women's mountain bike retreats in partnership with the apparel brand SHREDLY, and an adult mountain bike skill-development camp series in collaboration with the outdoor experiences company, evo. Our retreats and camps cater to niche markets and have expanded our program offerings. I love negotiating contracts, securing sponsorships, and establishing fruitful joint ventures with industry partners.

Co-owned and operated Moab Mountain Bike Instruction, Moab’s first mountain bike instruction company, for nine years. As pioneers in the budding mountain bike instruction industry, we challenged a prevailing perception about the value of mountain bike instruction for mountain bikers of all levels. We’re proud to have played a role in shifting that collective thinking, as mountain bikers now recognize the immense value in instruction, facilitating a safer and more enjoyable experience while developing correct habits from the outset. My responsibilities ranged from marketing, bookkeeping, and daily operations such as customer service, scheduling, and teaching mountain bike lessons to recruiting, training, and managing our team of coaches. In 2021, we invited in new investing business partners and rebranded the company, evolving it into our current venture, Momentum Mountain Biking.

As an insurance agent at AdventSure, I specialized in commercial insurance for the outdoor industry. My ability to quickly establish trust helped me build a book of business rapidly, and I played a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business. During my time at AdventSure, I honed my skills in assessing risk, staying updated on industry trends, and ensuring that my clients had the most comprehensive coverage possible. I loved helping outdoor business owners navigate the complexities of insurance and providing them with customized insurance products tailored to their unique business needs. This experience reinforced the value of personalized service and the profound impact it can have on a client's peace of mind. It further deepened my commitment to fostering trust-based relationships, traits I continue to bring to my professional endeavors today.

Progressively advanced through roles with Trek Dirt Series, beginning as a mountain bike instructor and culminating in the position of North American Program Manager. In this capacity, I worked with the Series Director to manage and schedule a team of over 40 instructors spanning the Western United States and Canada. I provided leadership to camp management teams, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration throughout the program. I played a role in marketing efforts and established and nurtured sponsor relationships, contributing to the growth of camp attendance and enhancement of program resources. I was responsible for the logistics of 21 large-scale mountain bike skills camps annually, hosted across the US and Canada, each accommodating up to 60 participants and 25 staff and volunteers. I obtained land-use permits, coordinated accommodations and meals, assisted the Series Director in scheduling staff and organizing their travel, forged local partnerships in each location, and coordinated the maintenance and travel of a dedicated truck and trailer, fleet of 15 Trek bikes, and essential program gear for the traveling instructional program. I worked with the Series Director and camp management teams to streamline operations, reduce costs, and optimize resources and logistics across multiple camp locations.
