Exploring, facilitating, initiating and maintaining external partnerships for Cochrane, including partnerships with users of Cochrane evidence such as WHO, its regional offices, and guideline developers.

• Responsible for the successful implementation of the Research for Health Africa programme in Senegal, Tanzania and Mozambique. • Programme Management, work planning, reporting (technical and financial), monitoring and evaluation of the programme, quality management• Leading the programme team• Regular contacts with the partner organisations • Technical support and facilitation of the activities • Communication activities: presentations at international conferences, development of newsletters and webpage, interaction with other media• Fundraising

• Leading COHRED’s programmatic unit, including a team of around 10 people based in Switzerland, South Africa, Botswana, Mexico, Tunisia and Canada • Strategy development for the programmatic unit, ensuring alignment with COHRED organisational strategy• Development and implementation of new programmes. Main geographic focus: Latin America, Central Asia, West-Africa, East-Africa. • Exploring and development of new partnerships with national, regional and international organisations• Fundraising • Responsible for exchange and learning within the programme team and for the further development of concepts and approaches for the work• Monitoring and evaluation of the programmes

• Responsible for the overall management of COHRED• Implementation new strategy, fundraising, continuing implementation of all programmes• Regular interaction with governing Board• Networking with partner organisations

• Coordination and support of technical working groups, facilitation of working group discussions• Coordination and publishing reports and newsletters, conceptual and content development COHRED website• Technical support country programmes

• Researching occupation and environmental health conditions for informal sector workers in Dar es Salaam• Establishment of research team with members from the Urban Health Project, Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences and the Tanzania Food and Nutrition Centre• Communicating research results in peer-reviewed articles, as well as directly with information sector workers
