In my recent capacity as the Nurse Manager for the Ambulatory Surgery Unit and the PACU at Manchester Hospital, I was able to raise the patient experience scores, increase patient flow and improve employee satisfaction. I have over 30 years experience as a critical care nurse, and the last 10 years, I spent in a formal leadership position. My departments met or exceeded budgeted performance and my employee retention rates were among the highest in the organization. In this role, I managed over 45 employees in two areas and partnered with surgeons and anesthesiologists to design innovative processes to solve everyday issues. I served on many hospital committees and worked with administration to improve employee engagement and meet regulatory requirements. I have maintained my certification in both critical care, perianesthesia care, ACLS and PALS for number of years. I have worked in both community and tertiary acute care facilities in ICU, CCU, Ambulatory Surgery and PACU. I believe these proven leadership skills coupled with my current clinical expertise in these areas make me an excellent candidate for positions including Nursing Supervision, Clinical Manager and critical care/peri-anesthesia nursing.
