I am Sylvia, and I am the Director of Technology and Innovation in ZeLife Discovery. Originally I come from the field of Biochemistry which has brought me from Germany (with a little detour through China) to Barcelona to pursue my PhD in Developmental Biology, working on cell specification and morphogenesis of complex organs. Here I came to love data especially live imaging data. During my PhD I started coding, and in 2016 I joined ZeClinics as a postdoc and finally became a developer and data scientist. Today I oversee the digital activities in ZeLife discovery. I am lucky to count on a team of magnificent and skilled people to realise our goals. In ZeLife discovery we develop sophisticated models and employ them for drug discovery, combining data science and AI - among several other things.
