Responsible for a large Gourmet section of the Cost Plus World Market Store in Woodinville, WA. Responsibilities include managing departments in Baking, Savories, Snacks, Non-Alcoholic Drinks, Tea and Coffee & Candy. Set and manage shelves and displays, create endcaps, promotional and sale displays. Sample coffee, tea and tasty food combinations. Create vignettes to draw new customers to our Gourmet Department. Engage and educate our customers to our constantly changing product inventory. Saturday's are Wine/Beer Tasting day with food from World Market to pair with the wine and beer. I will provide a combination of flavors to enhance the wine and/or the beer for maximum flavor combinations. Come and enjoy new flavor combinations with our wine and beer and discover new gourmet selections for your next party.

Select cheese, purchase, price, design display of cheese, cut and wrap cheeses, describe the cheese, give information about wine pairings, display the fruit pate/paste pairings, design and make artisan cheese platters for catering orders, set up cheese and cracker platters for weekly wine tastings, offer daily cheese demos with fresh fruit and/or fruit pastes and nuts to offer suggestions about cheese courses, assist customers with questions about cheese selections, offer advice about cheese platters to customers after determining preferences and finding cheese for customers when possible if we do not have it. After attending 4 months of cheese classes that were offered through Top Food/Haggen, Inc., I became the "official" Cheese Specialist at the Top Food and Drug Market in Woodinville, WA. I was able to select the cheese, introduce new cheese, display and design cheese sales according to the time of year or the challenge. I won numerous awards for designing a new and successfully financial display for each season and additionally, being able to introduce new cheese to my customers. I actually sold over $23,000 in one week during the Christmas Holiday. I found and supplied new cheese for our customers and through research and pairings found new and delicious cheeses available through the distributor, I found new ways to market and display new cheese that exceeded the sales objectives. Also, I estabilshed a great relationship with my cheese customers and remembered their preferred selections. I was able to find a way to introduce a new and higher per pound price cheese that made everyone happy.
