I manage the Book Manuscript Workshops, spearhead events on all aspects of print and digital publishing (the Publishing Humanities Initiative), and consult with faculty on their publishing and grant/fellowship proposals. I also write grants and work part of my time on an open-access online project for Duke University Press, the Carlyle Letters Online, part of the Victorian Lives and Letters Consortium.

Continuing my coordination of several international scholarly collaborations funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, I also manage the grantee organization, the Consortium of Humanities Centers and Institutes (CHCI). Responsibilities include Board elections, Board meetings, the annual meeting of the membership, fellowship partnerships, summer institutes, grant writing, financial management, and communications (see chcinetwork.org).I am also co-founder of the Publishing Makerspace working group, which won the honor of participating in the Scholarly Communications Institute in November 2014. We seek to redefine scholarly publishing to respond to digital innovations and encompass multi-modal scholarship (see publishingmakerspace.wordpress.com).

Director of "Publishing the Long Civil Rights Movement" a collaborative project funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the University of North Carolina.

Brought to Berg the 10-volume Encyclopedia of World Dress and Fashion and guided its development. The encyclopedia became the foundation of the online Berg Fashion Library and won the 2011 Dartmouth Medal for its co-publishers Berg and Oxford University Press.
