Duties included one-on-one meetings with students to discuss their written assignments and give specific feedback based on their paper’s adherence to guidelines and general legibility. Feedback would include planning/outlining, understanding the assignment, idea development and revision more generally. These papers would include scholarship essays, reports, literature reviews, research papers, business proposals, and resumes. Suggestions for edits were also based on correcting technical errors such as formatting inconsistency, citation errors, and typos. In addition to in-person meetings and Zoom meetings, papers would be submitted online and giving electronic edit suggestions were a regular part of duties. I have planned and run events for the Writing Center. Social media management was also part of my duties specifically.
