The essential function of a Plant Operator within the Lignite Power Plant Control Room, is the safe and efficient operation of the plant equipment and the entire generating unit. This includes the fuel system, circulating water systems, condensate/feed water systems, boiler systems, turbine systems, generator systems, electrical systems, and various other plant systems.

Monitor and operate boilers and auxiliary plant equipment from the field to maintain safe, efficient and continuous plant operations. With guidance and as requested, operate boilers and auxiliary plant equipment locally throughout the plant, making necessary adjustments to maintain safety and efficiency.
