I am a Counseling Psychologist with over five years of experience in providing individual, group, couples, and family therapy. I am also a Certified Grief Educator and the Co-Founder of Stawi Wellness, a mental health consultancy that helps individuals and mission-driven organizations prioritize, protect, and enable the mental health of their staff. My passion for counseling stems from my own personal journey of loss and recovery. This triggered a profound question: how could I make my pain count? How could I help others who were aching? I decided to pursue a career in counseling psychology, to help people walk through their seemingly insurmountable moments and transitions, and come out on the other side whole, authentic, and resilient. As a Ministry Assistant at Kileleshwa Covenant Community Church, I provided counseling and administrative support to the pastoral team and the congregation. I also conducted public talks and trainings on various topics related to mental health and wellbeing, such as loss and grief, self-image, personal boundaries, relationships, and marriage. I have successfully reached out to approximately 20 participants per session, ranging from teenagers, ladies going through separation & divorce and young adults and have over 700 hours of counselling sessions. As the Co-Founder of Stawi Wellness, I help mission-driven organizations, such as non-governmental organizations (NGOs), foster a culture of mental health awareness and support among their staff. I offer psychoeducation, capacity building, and counseling services, tailored to the specific needs and challenges of each organization. I help individuals and teams pursue and achieve a holistic sense of wellbeing and success, especially during challenging transitions and uncertain times. I strive to carry out this work with deep empathy, authenticity, loyalty, confidentiality, and respect.
