Responsibilities;• Provided educational leadership with the management and development of course delivery plans for Certificate III in Hairdressing & Diploma of Salon Management.• Development of assessment tasks for units of competency in line with ESOS & ASQA compliance.• Liaising with industry & relevant professional associations including Service Skills Australia, to ensure training packages are in line with industry standards.• Recruitment & induction of staff for classroom delivery.• Management of professional development for staff and continuous improvement activities to ensure department’s quality assurance procedures and high standards of delivery. • Established and maintained an Industry Advisory Board to promote ongoing relationships with key industry associations.• Liaising with industry professionals to maximize cost effectiveness with student equipment and teaching resources.• Management of the department’s record keeping system which included exemptions, RPL procedures, results and awards in accordance with CIC policies & procedures.• Management of the student timetable system and the maximization of room usage. • Maintained and implemented all principles of anti discrimination and OH&S legislation within the department.
