Developed community-based employment opportunities for students with disabilities aged 16 years and older, provided pre-employment training and counseling to students, and supervised students placed in community work experiences.Each student with an individual learning disability (grades 8 - 12) gained valuable work experience at jobs I placed them in, in surrounding communities. Students I worked with had ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, visual impairment, Autism, Down’s Syndrome, emotional disorders, and brain trauma. Some students I supported were identified as historically underserved, historically unrepresented, or participated in the homeless program. I taught important job skills and life skills, guided juniors and seniors through job applications, resume building, mock interview practice, role-playing, career interest inventories, college transition preparation, and managed over thirty job sites with participating students who gained paid on-the-job work training experience through our program.

Second to education is my love of music and dance. At age 9, I started ballet lessons at the Performing Arts Institute. I practiced ballet, for 14 years, modern or lyrical, tap and flamenco for 2 years, and aerial acrobatics for 1 year. At my dad's studio, I was hired as the beginning and intermediate ballet instructor. I choreographed the annual showcase and winter dance recitals. Growing up in a musical family every member was required to learn an instrument. I also taught beginning piano and accordion. On the side, I helped with accordion repair, assisted with instrument and music book sales, and front desk customer service. My official position began in Feb 1995 but Dave is my father and I grew up learning how to successfully run a small business. Over 47 years of success.
