I am a Public Sector Cúram Senior Consultant Business Analyst working on the MMRP project with the PMO to assist with the massive on/off-boarding and transition of Clemson personnel. I am the Staffing Lead working with leadership, vendors and new resources through the on/off boarding process for the project. Duties include vetting resumes, subk templates, CART, distributing on-boarding packets, etc. Additional duties will include BA and Training/Training Developer roles once the assessment and transition is complete. I use in-depth skills, business knowledge and packaged solution expertise to help clients’ select, implement and support and effectively integrate IBM’s packaged technology solutions into their diverse business environment to achieve client expected business results.

I use in-depth consulting skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to help clients’ select, implement support and effectively integrate IBM’s packaged technology solutions into their diverse business environment in order to achieve client expected business results. I am developing the Cúram training material to be used to train the trainers and the end users for the KIP (Knowledge Integration Program) County of San Diego Information Exchange (CoSDIE) project (San Diego Health and Human Services Department).

I am a Senior Healthcare Training Specialist/Technical Writer for The Eligibility and Enrollment Member Management Project for the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, one of the largest IT projects for the State of South Carolina, contracted by Software People, Inc.. I am training the multi-year effort to replace the State’s aging Medicaid Eligibility Determination System and other member management applications with a modern, service oriented architecture based system. I work with various internal teams in a development environment, to create business and technical project artifacts that will be utilized internally by the project team, executive management, agency staff and/or externally by vendors, CMS or other stakeholders. I am deeply involved with the Affordable Care Act in this project.As a trainer I participate in the development and deployment of a training curriculum for South Carolina’s new Eligibility & Enrollment Member Management System. I develop a curriculum that meets the specific needs of eligibility workers transitioning from a mainframe system to a contemporary system with a GUI format and a web services backend, IBM's Medicaid Eligibility system Cùram. I also assisted with GAP analysis. As trainer I also conduct “Train the Trainer” exercises with local field staff throughout the state using the developed curriculum as well as the policies and procedures that accompany it. I apply techniques uniquely suited to adult learners supporting a variety of learning styles and experiences. I am responsible for rolling out curriculum updates, participate in standup of business operations supporting the Project, participate in stakeholder conference calls and meetings, and provide ongoing site support via learning labs and post implementation worksite support.As a Technical Writer I work with various internal teams in development environment, to create business and technical project artifacts used by the Project.

I supervised Patient Advocates for MedStar stationed at Union Memorial Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital. I supervised and coordinated the daily activities of Patient Advocates responsible to accomplish established monthly and quarterly financial and productivity goals. I established priorities, schedules, distribute work and reassign tasks as necessary. I provided team members with opportunities for learning, creativity and personal growth. I routinely trained all of the Advocates for MedStar on Medicaid, Medicare, MedStar policies and procedures, etc.

I provided independent classroom training, supervision, developing and applying policies and regulations of mandated programs including, but not limited to eligibility determination for Medicaid MCHP and Long Term Care. I read and researched Federal regulations, State Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR), Medicare, Action Transmittals, bulletins, policy clarifications, emails, etc., in order to accurately deliver the training material and to accurately respond to inquiries from the Department of Human Resources, Department of Social Services, Appeal Officers, Local Health Departments, Hospitals, Hospice, Advocacy Groups, Health Care Providers and Long Term Care Providers. I developed, prepared, revised, disseminated and delivered updated training materials and assessments, packets and modules regarding eligibility regulations, policies and procedures on all Medicaid Programs. I provided curriculum changes and recommendations to other trainers, division supervisor, policy division chief, executive director, etc. as needed on all Medicaid Programs. I assisted with the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for the PERM review for Medicaid. I provided recommendations, revisions, and updates on the Draft Maryland Medicaid Manual. I used a variety of training methods and presentations, some of which includes handouts, data show, computers, PowerPoint, Excel, overhead projection, interactive activities, electronic Printboard, NETOP/SchoolVue (computer teacher program), hands-on participation, etc..
