Energetic, passionate, creative and highly mathematical/logical- I started my professional career as a software engineer before quitting to pursue a dream of mine to study fashion design. Having been deep down that path, I now have a fully realized understanding of both creative and tech industries. It is my dream to be able to blend my skill sets into a career which is at the forefront of emerging industries- User Experience (UX) Design.I spent a number of years in business with my own designs where I experienced a steep learning curve managing all aspects from design, production, sales, marketing, PR, budgeting/forecasting and innovating. Coming from a place of having owned a business, it has become particularly apparent that ultimately, a business exists to thrive in its interaction and relevance with customers.In my role as a UX / Product designer, I have had the opportunity to interview users as well as use data analytics, competitive research and best practices to drive my design ideas. Designing for the mobile app, as well as for the .COM site (mobile, tablet, desktop) has enabled me to gain an understanding of how to use space and elements in the most effective and intuitive way.As a fashion designer, I worked closely with all divisions of fashion companies including graphic design, pattern making, technical design, production and sales which helped attain a better understanding of the company's operations and ultimate goal. It also creates for efficient, inspired, and results driven work.My years as a software engineer helped hone in on my skills in solutions development and in consulting with clients to understand their needs to solve their business problems.Having both a creative and logical problem solving background helps in design, understanding consumers and coming up with effective answers to problems.My interests and passions include meditation, traveling to foreign countries to explore culture, art, history, playing the violin in a New York orchestra, long distance running, snorkeling/diving, salsa dance and volunteer work.I'm always open to hearing about exciting and challenging opportunities.
