About Sylvia Myong

Sylvia Myong is a proactive, highly motivated Marketing Management – Professional Sales graduate. Her passion for teaching and giving back to the community has pushed her to volunteer as a peer tutor in her community. She saw enormous growth with many of her students, which gave her the joy to keep teaching and mentoring her peers. Through numerous courses taken at BCIT, Sylvia has become a proficient user of Excel. The skills acquired were immediately applied to real world scenarios through the various assignments given by professors. By applying the skills and techniques immediately, Sylvia has been able to become comfortable with the different uses of the Excel program. The Marketing Management program has given Sylvia the opportunity to be the leader and organizer for several major projects. Being a leader and organizer in a team meant allocating the tasks at hand in an organized matter in order to efficiently complete the sections in a timely basis. Due to Sylvia’s exceptional work ethics and the positive attitude she brings with her, she has been awarded several scholarships to commemorate her achievements. The most recent scholarship she has received is the BMO Marketing Professional Sales scholarship, which was awarded to top second year students.
