Human Resources Manager
Current• Notify proper channels if legal counsel should be consulted to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law.• Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Study legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends.• Provide guidance and training to leaders and employees regarding HR policies and best practices.• Recruit, hire and retain talent in order to support the organizations staffing plans. • Proactively partner with leaders to increase employee performance through our talent management program that includes; talent acquisition, onboarding & engagement, employee development, performance management, succession planning, and workforce planning. • Assist in coordinating management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, and sexual harassment.• Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.• Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.• Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.• Recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.• Often serve as a liaison between worker comp/ leave administrator to employees. • Represent organization at union contract negotiations and employee relations investigations.• Contract with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as employee recognition services.
