I share an office with my business associate, Maureen Kevin MSW & CADC, who owns Kevin & Associates agency.I am a licensed senior psychologist who have been providing mental health-related services for more than 30 years. Since the establishment of Sun Psychological Services, I have been working with clients who have diverse needs in the areas of general psychology, substance abuse and sexual deviance. My specialty is in conducting Forensic Psychological and Psychosexual evaluations. My clients are referred to me by their attorneys. I have also served as an expert witness for Illinois Appellate Defenders in a number of capital cases.In the past few years, my professional interest has expanded to include working with individuals of my age group in helping them cope with age-related problems, such as treating depression and other psychological dysfunction associated with aging. I supervised a team of five licensed professionals which consisted of 2 doctor level psychologists, a LCPC therapist, Activity Therapist and a Psychometrician. Our assessment team provides clinical supervision for doctor level interns/practicum students in the completion of Entry to Treatment Evaluation for all the detainees at the Joliet Detention Center. Our Entry to Treatment Evaluation typically consists of a core of psychological instruments: ABEL Screening, PPG, a personality inventory (MMPI-2 or PAI) and numerous other tests for assessing the offenders' levels of sexual deviance and related cognitive distortion. My duties also consisted of providing supervision to a multi-disciplinary team of psychologist, social worker, nurses and activity therapist in the delivery of clinical assessment and treatment.
