Responsible for planning and developing operations for the 12,000 selected torchbearers and ensuring the delivery of a world class Olympic experience that will engage and unify the entire country in a journey of 106 days around Canada.- Conceptualize, write and develop all collateral required for each communication touchpoints with torchbearers throughout their journey (contest ideas & guidelines, online database & application form, announcement & logistic letters, briefing script, torchbearer profiles)- Collect and assign data from 120+ stakeholders (games-wide sponsors, government partners, communities, sport associations) in accordance to their respective programs and partnership rights- Source, implement, train and manage the Torchbearer Service Centre (external team of 10+ employees) by setting up a call centre & distribution centres (information package & uniforms)- Source and manage a team of 24 hosts & shuttle drivers to engage and guide torchbearers throughout the 106 days without compromising the relay operations.- Traveled extensively across Canada representing the Olympic Organizing Committee (visited over 1,000 communities in 106 days, covering 45,000 km - the longest national relay ever held)
