Symone Bell Wright is an American singer-songwriter born and raised in Southern California. After graduating from a performing arts high school in Orange County, she studied abroad in PEI Canada, with a focus on music performance at Holland College. In 2021, Symone graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in songwriting at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. She’s had the pleasure of acting as a lead vocalist, songwriter, background vocalist, opener, and musician for productions and performances with the The Coollab Project, Black Cultural Society of PEI, Overtime Entertainment, Nonso Amadi, Damoyee, Josh Wright Jr., Syba, Zaid Tabani, MEVS, and Studio115. Her music is inspired by some of her biggest influences and favorite artists such as Jazmine Sullivan, Lianne La Havas, Thirdstory, Moonchild, and more. Her most recent work as a feature performer and co-writer, titled "Beautiful Distraction," was released on Jezus Rose's new EP "Love Hurts" in March, 2024. She’s currently working on releasing her first single while putting together her debut EP which will be released in 2024. Symone creates music to inspire, and empower others, and to show people that they aren’t alone in their thoughts and emotions. In addition to helping herself, Symone’s goal is to help others find hope in a safe, honest, and inspiring space.
