Synthia is a compassionate and determined individual who strongly believes in the power of unity. She understands that great things can be achieved when like-minded individuals come together. Synthia is a champion for the Sustainable Development Goal number 4 with a desire to influence and champion for quality Education. She is committed to ensuring that learners can attain their full academic potential regardless of their socioeconomic background. She has petitioned the Kenyan government through the change.org platform to make education accessible and affordable and to break barriers that hinder learners from accessing quality Education. Synthia is the Founder and Director of Let’s Talk Mentors Hub, an organisation that champions for quality Education and provides mentorship and leadership training to school going children, young women and girls. She champions for Comprehensive Sexuality Education to young women and girls, Creating awareness on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights. She was recently recognised as the top 30 under 30 Social Founder of the Year by the FOYA Awards.Synthia is an alumni of the Wings to Fly Program by the Equity Group Foundation, an Equity Leaders Program Scholar, a Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) alumni, a We Create Change by Change.org Fellow, a Nguvu Changeleader and a seasoned activist and a human rights advocate.Synthia is a teacher by profession, having graduated from Kenyatta University with a Bachelors Degree in English and Literature. She currently works with Teach for Kenya, an NGO under the umbrella of Teach for All that is aimed at addressing Education Inequalities in underserved communities.Synthia values compassion, integrity and determination, recognising the importance of helping others, possessing strong moral principles and persevering towards goals.
