Steven has received the LA Weekly Award, three LA Ovation Awards – for Songs for a New World, Jekyll and Hyde, and Eric Whitacre’s Paradise Lost: Shadows and Wings – and four Backstage Garland Awards. In 2004, Steven was honored by the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle with the Angstrom Lifetime Achievement Award.Steven holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Theatre from Indiana State University and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatrical Design and Production from University of Cincinnati, CCM. He was honored in 2015 with UC-CCM’s Alumni Award of Excellence.
