At Beyond Healthcare, we provide holistic mental health care to teens and their families through partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs. In conjunction with our Outreach Director, I am responsible for establishing and maintaining community relationships, creating marketing techniques, and attending community events to create professional relationships with local businesses.

- Providing comprehensive care coordination- Assisting adults, and their families with skill building- Crisis management- Providing linkages to community resources such as housing, transportation, vocational, medical, and financial services.

At Vibrant, I worked within the Here2Help Connect Center answering calls placed to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (now known as the 988 Lifeline). On every call, I performed the following tasks:1) Establish good contact and build rapport2) Conduct assessments on mental status, substance use, suicidal ideation,and homicidal ideation3) Discuss coping skills and collaboratively problem solve4) Identify appropriate interventions and provide community referrals 5) Review, wrap-up, and close.In my role, I worked with a diverse population every day. Cultural humility was a large component of my work. I strived to provide quality care that was personal to the individual clients I talked to while also adhering to company standards and time limits. My role required me to be patient and understanding, and it also required me to be direct and set appropriate boundaries when dealing with tangential and abusive callers. In addition to call management and crisis de-escalation, I was also responsible for ensuring accurate and complete clinical documentation as well as communicating with emergency services and abuse reporting agencies as appropriate and necessary.

- Create social media graphics/posts to encourage engagement- Create advertisements to recruit survivors for UNLEASH support groups- Conduct research on specific topics and issues that impact survivors of sexual violence and human trafficking - especially BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ survivors- Share my own story of healing from sexual violence to connect and partner with other survivors as they navigate the aftermath of sexual violence- Education about sexual violence statistics, resources, and prevention tools- Education about sex and labor trafficking domestically and internationally
