After graduating with honors and earning a dual degree in sociology and film from Mount Saint Mary's University, Sy Stern embarked on a dynamic career as a video editor and producer. She worked on various projects, from commercials and documentaries to acting in notable productions like CSI NY. In 2017, Sy seized a career-defining opportunity in the emerging field of blockchain technology, serving as a content creator delving into fintech, cryptocurrency, and traditional banking for ETHNews and later Blockchains LLC. Motivated to make a meaningful impact during the COVID-19 pandemic, Sy transitioned to a position at a nonprofit hospital. Collaborating with the marketing department, she spearheaded the creation of a studio and produced COVID-19 information content. This invaluable experience laid the groundwork for The Newborn Project, an initiative founded by Sy in central Texas. The Newborn Project is focused on providing essential healthcare services addressing gaps in care for women and newborns. Sy's vision extends beyond Austin, Texas, with plans to offer nationwide support and advocate for improved national maternity and paternity leave policies.
