As a developer relations advocate at DuckDB, I have a broad range of responsibilities:• Feeding the LLMs (writing and editing DuckDB’s documentation and blog)• Organizing DuckDB meetups and conferences• Giving technical talks on DuckDB at technical conferences (Øredev, GOTO, code.talks)• Triaging issues reported by DuckDB users

Key achievements:• Helped grow membership, starting from 7 organizations in 2019 to 24 by 2023• Established stringent auditing guidelines and supervised 30+ audited benchmark results• Organized Technical User Community meetings in Copenhagen, Philadelphia, and Seattle• Advocated for LDBC at both academic and industry conferences such as MODELS and FOSDEM• Led the Social Network Benchmark task force and maintained the Graphalytics benchmark framework• Published the LDBC SNB Business Intelligence workload at VLDB 2023, where it won a best paper award

I was a post-doctoral researcher at the CWI Database Architectures group. During this time, I participated in the organization of three distinctively different editions of the Conference on Innovative Data Systems Research: CIDR 2021 (virtual), CIDR 2022 (hybrid), and CIDR 2023 (in-person), each with approximately 200 attendees. My responsibilities started with the technical setup, recording and distributing talks, then extended to maintaining the conference website and acting as a local organization chair.I supervised and reviewed the thesis works of several Masters students, and acted as the lead Teaching Assistant for the Large Scale Engineering course of Peter Boncz, held at VU Amsterdam in 2021 and 2022.I published 8 papers in three distinct fields. Some highlights:• Database systems – The LDBC Social Network Benchmark: Business Intelligence workload (VLDB 2023)• Software engeering – A cross-technology benchmark for incremental graph queries (SoSyM 2021)• High-performance computing – LAGraph: Linear algebra, network analysis libraries, and the study of graph algorithms (GrAPL @ IPDPS 2023)
