I am inspired to profoundly influence people’s health! My passion is applying multifaceted expertise to the Healthcare IT industry translating innovative ideas into cutting-edge products. The estimated incidence of pulmonary hypertension (PH) in the U.S. is 300-600 per million. I was a caregiver for my wife, Kathy, who had PH. I helped connect her with other patients early on in 1997 by developing the first internet message board for PH patients. It was the first of its kind to leverage the internet, still in its functional infancy for the everyday person. This effort blossomed into the PHCentral organization, providing a virtual support group website for patients with PH. I co-founded this pioneering resource that connects PH patients and caregivers throughout the world, as a source of support and the latest information about the disease and its treatments.
