Mr. Zebral Filho is a Brazilian-Italian ordoliberal economist, behavioral and political scientist helping governments, corporations, and citizens work better together in the Americas.Since 2009, Silverio has been serving as a Head of the Governance Unit at the Organization of American States, teaching at Georgetown McDonough School of Business and mentoring bright young talents from Harvard Kennedy School, IE University, Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Fundación Botín Santander, and Fundación Kybernus Salinas.Before moving to the US, Silverio held professional assignments with the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), IBM Consulting Group, and Robert Fleming-Graphus Investment Bank. He had also been consulting on an ad-hoc basis for global companies (BCW, Vodafone, Roche) and helping senior and mid-career executives from business associations in Brazil (AMCHAM, CNI, CNA) to improve their soft skills in corporate diplomacy, negotiation, influence, scenario planning, communication, innovation, and crisis/change management. To date, more than 2800 leaders worldwide have participated in leadership workshops and mentoring sessions led by Mr. Zebral Filho, including Shipibo-tribe chiefs in the Peruvian Amazon, Iraq National Police officers, female candidates running for Congress in Mozambique, and Venezuela's youth diaspora in exile.His professional and academic interests span the domains of economics, politics, policy, psychology, and - more recently - moral philosophy and theology. Mr. Zebral is particularly interested in institutional economics, polycentric governance, judgment biases, and complexity theory applied to wicked societal problems, policy puzzles, ethical dilemmas, and business development.After spending some time in Geneva, Hanói, and Santiago, Silverio is currently based in Washington-DC - while globe-trotting among London, Milan, Madrid, Panama City, and Rio (his hometown).
