As a research scientist and group leader with over 30 years of experience in the field of hematology and oncology, I have accumulated an extensive knowledge of stem cell biology and the development of drugs to treat malignant and non-malignant hematological disorders and solid tumors. I have worked in both an academic and industry setting, directly managing junior and senior level staff, and have led large cross-functional teams distributed across several departments and geographical sites to discover small molecule, antibody, and recombinant human protein therapeutics. I have run an NIH-funded academic research laboratory with a focus on cell therapy, served on grant review panels, and journal editorial boards in the field of experimental hematology, normal and cancer stem cell biology.
