I am a physician board-certified in internal medicine, nephrology and clinical transplantation. I earned my medical degree from the Medical University of Białystok. I've been actively involved in teaching and advancing my clinical research (focused on cardiovascular diseases in chronic kidney disease and vascular access for dialysis) since 1999. Achievements, including the Marie Curie Fellowship (from the EU) for scientific research in Italy at the Mario Negri Sud Institute and recognition from the Foundation for Polish Science, have marked my academic journey.I've broadened my expertise through internships and training in various countries, including Romania, Hungary, Germany, and the United States. I also completed the Basic Certificate in Quality & Safety from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, underscoring my commitment to delivering high-quality and safe patient care.I hold a doctoral habilitation in medical sciences and am dedicated to mentoring the next generation of medical professionals and researchers. My scholarly contributions include authoring and co-authoring over 120 scientific publications and academic textbooks. My contributions to the field have earned me valuable accolades, including awards from the Rector of the Medical University of Białystok and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Poland. I'm an active member of the Polish Society of Nephrology and the American Society of Nephrology, highlighting my commitment to advancing the field of nephrology.Since 2014, I've been a proud member of the DaVita team. Since 2017, as Chief Medical Officer, I've had the privilege of leading its medical initiatives and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
