A seasoned digital media executive with over 20 years of experience in broadcast, telco, and MSO companies. Szymon is an OTT and pay-TV expert, specializing in developing solutions to stay ahead of the market. He is an environmentalist whose personal mission is to reduce carbon footprints via dense technology. So he is a big fan of system integration, cutting-edge technology, and tailor-made platforms. He has worked with Canal+, Nielsen, A1, CableMass, LibertyGlobal, NASK, Toya, Asta-Net, BrightBlue, Conax, Discovery and HBO.Szymon was in charge of developing many advanced TV services in Poland. One of the market “firsts” Szymon was involved in, was when he started deploying broadband internet access services based on DOCSIS. He then launched digital television services for cable operators ‘from scratch’ and brought triple play services and multiscreen solutions to the market. His innovative approach led to the first hybrid TV platform combining OTT, VOD, broadcast, and internet into one interface. This allowed for the creation of a gold standard for hybrid – DVB/OTT platforms which today remain in many networks that operate in these environments. Szymon established StreamVX because of the changes he perceived would happen in the industry. He then saw how these factors would affect the business and came up with innovative solutions to meet these challenges. As a consequence, with StreamVX’s products, all of the cables needed by the video industry are now in software.Szymon was given a Polish Cable Industry Almighty award ("Mocarz Kabla Polskiego").It is a prestigious award given by the community of telecommunications operators for people who have made a significant contribution to the development of cable television in Poland. The award’s ceremony takes place during the Polish Forum of Cable Operators FORTEL, whose attendees include representatives of the TV broadcasting community, distribution companies and suppliers of the most modern technical solutions. The organizer is the Association of Employers of Electronic Media and Telecommunications - Mediakom. The honorary patron is the Chairman of the National Broadcasting Council.
