Board advisor, Company Director who has worked within FTSE 250, NYSE 500 and public sector organisations in data and information roles since leaving university in 2005. Primarily developing efficiencies in Data processes and analysis, which have saved 1000s of hours in processing in one process alone and revealed issues in processes that allowed the closure of a £440k/yr loophole.Throughout these various roles I have been called upon to create systems and develop processes to reduce the need for data tidying and minimise opportunities for human error. This is something I have not only had great success in but I have greatly enjoyed. I like to challenge convention and a pet peeve of mine is the phrase ‘well, that’s how we have always done it’. I have in depth knowledge of using coding too optimise processing and in creating bespoke Database architecture, also interrogating data using reporting tools. Using all these skills in recent roles to make efficiencies to existing processes and pushing through efficiencies and automation to allow real innovation in the way the wider teams view data.I am also used to developing skills in inhouse bespoke systems used by Leicestershire County Council, Severn Trent Water and HCC. Along with this I have experience in managing change and expectations and I am capable of taking training courses on software, processes and procedures I have used or developed.I am not a purely analytical person and am keen to understand the who, what, where and why behind tasks to fully develop my understanding and add value to the work I am doing whatever the task.Many of my self-created solutions are used years after I leave the role. Severn Trent have rolled out a database and front end I designed, created and launched for a specialist valve tracking and checking, to other Water companies all over the UK, making this an industry standard tool.
