Senior economic policy adviser reporting directly to the Senator. • Conduct macroeconomic and market analysis, generate economic policy proposals that fit with the Senator's economic policy positions, advise the Senator on banking/finance/tax/monetary policy/labor market /investment business before the Senate, and oversee financial market regulatory reform implementation, modeling tax and budget policy outcomes, among others. • Perform independent research and cost-benefit analysis on alternative strategies toward achieving policy objectives related to domestic job creation, manufacturing policy, globalization, product and technology innovation, domestic finance, economic clusters, and investor climate. • Assemble and direct legislative development teams consisting of private sector economists, corporate executives, and government resources, including the Congressional Research Services, Joint Tax Committee, Finance and Banking Committees, among others. Refine thinking and coordinate complex modeling of legislative outcomes. • Maintain strategic relationships and open new channels of communication with major U.S. corporations and industry trade groups in order to broaden awareness on economic trends and new legislation. • Independently conduct meetings with key corporate constituents, organize meetings of opinion leaders in various policy areas, speak publicly on the Senator's economic policy positions.
