I have a wealth of experience across local government and the public sector. I have led a range of cross sector teams delivering new models of service care and delivery achieving successful outcomes for local residents. I have held strategic roles at Oldham Borough Council, Rochdale Borough Council and more recently at Tameside Council across Children's, Public Health and Adult Services all of which have had integration with health as pivotal to achieving great outcomes for people who use our services. After more than a decade of delivery at Oldham, I joined Rochdale Borough Council in 2018 as assistant director for commissioning across adult care and prevention. My strategic approach saw the design and delivery of new integrated commissioning models across the borough. In my key strategic and leadership role at Rochdale, I led the way in developing a new adult care and support accommodation strategy pioneering a new commissioning cycle model and identifying the service delivery requirements across the health, housing and care market. During the recent pandemic I played a key leadership role in the council’s support for the care sector during the covid-19 pandemic, including the development and implementation of a resilience plan, communicating and ensuring the strategic delivery of the infection control fund grant, delivering the clinical model to help support residents who are unwell at home and developing and delivering innovative solutions to ensure safe care home visiting.In 2022 I Joined Tameside Council as Assistant Executive Director - Adults (Deputy DASS), since then I have led the directorate response to 'People at the Heart of Care' by taking a transformational approach to enable teams to redesign functions and services. Implementation is well underway working closely with residents and colleagues across the directorate and health partnerships.
