UIU Health & Welfare Fund was a pre-Taft Hartley, multinational union sponsored trust fund established by the Upholsterers International Union of NA in 1944. I was Executive Assistant to Chairman & Legal Counsel-1978-1982 ; Legal Counsel -1982-1992; Also in-house legal counsel to Upholsterers International Union of North America; assisted in merger of Upholsterers with Steelworkers Union; handled audits from US Dept of Labor always receiving clean bill of health; ie no infractions. Appeared in courts of numerous states and Canadian provinces on behalf of Fund.

Taught Labor Law at Penn State University's graduate school program in Reading and Abington, Penna while handlling variety of legal matters for clients, majority of whom were Steelworkers. Such as third party products liability cases, workers compensation, unemployment, family law, wills, estates, consumer credit, employment discrimination, employment contracts, profit sharing, pensions.

Public Interest Law Firm. Co-author of 6 volume treatise "Newberg on Class Actions", published by Shepards/McGraw Hill (1977), now in its 4th edition. (Written during 1972-1977)Firm involved in securities, antitrust, housing, employment discrimination, consumer credit and bankruptcy class actions, including representing women police officers in Philadelphia Police Department. Firm dissolved when Supreme Court cut back on fee award doctrines.
