As an automation and process control consultant in a corporate engineering team at DuPont, I've been engaged in tackling many different types of problems across many different types of operations. Selecting an automation technology fitting to the objectives and the nature of the data is step one in a continuous improvement plan. With my process control and six sigma training, I've helped operations quantify the improvement opportunity in their processes and develop a continuous improvement program addressed by automation and process control technology. Using my manufacturing systems expertise, I've created the ability to quickly prototype solutions and validate their impact.In my role as a manufacturing systems project engineer, I've participated in all aspects of projects across different business, processes, and countries. As a project manager, I've lead global roll outs of complex Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) that dramatically changed the business capability. My experience with manufacturing operations, process control systems and as a MES developer shapes my “hands on” project management style. To the owner/operator I emphasize business process, alignment to architectural standards, work practice impact, clarity of requirements, and support capability.
