Contribute as Industrial Engineer focusing heavily on process improvement, volume data relating to efficiency and the implementation of automation.• Utilized Data Warehouse and Visual Basic to design and implement automated Excel file to track individual employee performance for picking operation to be reviewed on a daily basis which contributed to raising picking productivity from 60% to 90% and reducing quality errors.• Assisted in implementation and managed deployment of $2M sortation project to improve picking speed, improve accuracy, decrease location count discrepancy and reduce new employee training requirement for an overall productivity and quality increase.• Led troubleshooting for software related issues to identify and communicate bugs in the Test portion of the Agile Methodology. • Managed site proof of concept for automated guided vehicle implementation and utilization for potential companywide contract.• Implemented processes and wrote SWIs for the new automation initiatives as well as updated existing documentation and provided point of contact assistance when process questions arose.• Managed and reported daily volume data and interpreted report for management to identify areas of focus as well as implemented custom Python script to simplify the procedure.• Used combination of Data Warehouse and Impromptu to organize data into various tools to either improve existing processes or report site data for project initiatives.

During the past decade, Mohawk has transformed its business from an American carpet manufacturer into the world’s largest flooring company with operations in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Europe, India, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia and the United States.• Had operations responsibility for Trim & Label department that processed approximately 80,000 bath rugs per day and provided management oversight to 3 shift leads, 4 crew leads, 4 shipping coordinators and 4 label office workers overseeing a variable team of 70-80 employees.• Tracked labor variances on a daily basis for every department as a means to provide insight to particular operating issues and production trends. • Monitored productivity of employees to ensure piece rate targets were met as well as run daily reports for plant wide orders, production rates, and month to date dollars shipped.

Completed work rotations through Accounting, Materials / Purchasing, Project Engineering, Assembly, and Production Services departments as a utility engineer. Worked directly with Human Resources on the development of the College Intern / Co-Op Program.
