I am a new nursing graduate with honors of academic excellence in achieving a highest-grade point average. For someone who has been in the USA for few years like me and has to learn an English as a new language, graduating with honors was not an easy task. However, my passion and adversity have been my ingredients in becoming a successful student nurse.To me, nursing is all about passion, the passion to help those who trust me with their health and life. I lived majority of my life in a country that is medically underserved, and I have seen number of mortalities and morbidities due to lack of health care professionals. The adversity that I witnessed when I was a child, gave me a passion and life time dedication in becoming a nurse and serve people who appear to be vulnerable with their health status. There are so many adversities while being health care professional. I plan to combine the adversity of day to day nursing task with the passion of serving my patients to become a successful nurse.
