Inclusive Engagement Specialist
CurrentDesign and facilitate a multi-sectoral, multi-stakeholder collaboration of municipal/agency representatives, grassroots community group representatives, youth and community residents to create a strategic plan that will guide program implementation. ● Conduct an assessment of models and practices focused on shared power, governance, inclusion, conflict transformation, policies, systems and environmental changes that address structural racism, promote equitable and inclusive civic engagement and shift power within municipal and nonprofit settings. ● Develop and implement a training program/curriculum for youth and adults that will support partners of all sectors, identities and backgrounds to develop the understanding, skills and practice to design and implement governance structures that embrace shared power models. ● Design and facilitate opportunities for a Community of Practice and/or Peer Learning, or similar models, that will engage all partners in collective work to promote equitable and inclusive civic engagement. ● Assess and support partner agency readiness and progress towards achieving inclusion goals. ● Develop/discover/elicit shared frameworks and mental models; collaborate with partners around those frameworks. ● Support and mentor HFC department staff and partners with developing and evaluating a shared framework for inclusive community engagement and leadership. ● Prepare agendas, coordinate outreach, document meeting and training outcomes. ● Conduct assessment and evaluation activities at the program, organizational, and community levels. ● Provide one-on-one and/or group technical assistance and support to community residents, youth and municipal leaders. ● Other duties as assigned.
