I’m an innovative student looking to tangibly improve people’s lives through technology such as AI.From my first project, building a simple solar toy car, to improving organic bioremediation of oil and developing an autonomous firefighting robot from scratch, my innovative projects have won national and international science fair awards.Through my projects, I have developed as a self-learner, gaining many hard skills from CAD + 3D printing, metal prototyping and motor control to C++, Python and creating computer vision applications. Most of all, I have learned to approach unfamiliar problems, breaking them down into tractable steps and eagerly seeking out the help of others.I've also been very fortunate to have a helpful community to lean on in my childhood, and strive to promote connection in my own community. From... - leading highschoolers in fundraising sales for the Children’s Hospital Foundation over five years,- helping over a dozen students struggling in math and science,- co-founding and leading the Studio-Challenge Community for students to bond over their passions while exploring various careers, and- communicating difficulties of youth in the community to MLAs and contributing ideas to the economic recovery through discussions like the Premier's youth consultation,my experiences have enabled my leadership skills to improve.
