Before joining Roku, I was the Senior Manager of Product for live streaming and video player at CBS Interactive & ViacomCBS. We built a live streaming API and CMS leveraging AWS Media Services from the ground up that served over 60 business units at ViacomCBS and Pluto.tv, and two Super Bowls (53 & 55). While at ViacomCBS we were beta testers of the Twitch IVS low latency stack and integrated this into the ViacomCBS’s video player for GameSpot and GiantBomb.Previous to ViacomCBS, I was a founding executive of the live streaming service EverSport Media. (http://www.eversport.tv) Acting as EverSport’s live operations lead, I worked directly with the chief product officer to build a live streaming platform from a 6 page product plan and Power Point slide. We live streamed over 11,000 global sports events. During the pandemic, I started working on low latency collaborative performance tools for live streaming events. In April 2020 I started producing live streaming events with DJs, musicians, and visual artists collaborating via cloud based applications. I produce weekly live shows with distributed performers under the moniker Tastee.Media.
