I'm planning to upgraded our Enterprise Test Labs to vSphere 6.7 update 3. No more Thick-client with a vast improvement in performance and function with the new and improved web client. We have vRealize Operations Manager 6.6.1 and Log Insight 4.7 to help support our daily operations.As a Server Administrator for the Server Operations team in DC, we manage the Enterprise Test Lab virtual environments for the Application Development teams. The ETL consists of independent test environments that represent an instance of production. Full-blown infrastructure core-services like Active Directory Services and Certificate Authorities exists in each environment for independent testing. Environments are ramped up and torn down to provide rapid functional testing prior to deployment to production. I'm always promoting DevOps concepts to help deploy the business solutions in a timely manner.We use to have three HP c7000 Blade Enclosures that supported the labs that contain approximately 200-400 virtual machines. In 2018-2019, we noticed there were much more physical server issues than ever before with our HP Gen8 blades. With our lab environment, we are also happy to get hand-me-down servers from our Production environments. This year, we made a concerted effort in migrating away from blades to HP's DL380s. This reduced our physical footprint at the data center, along with reducing those security issues that go along with physical devices. We now have 5 HP DL380s that support the ETL, down from 48 blades.

As the Webmaster for OCC, I was responsible for implementing the agency's first intranet. I opt to name it OCCnet and the name has stuck as it is known today. The first intranet was deployed on a Windows platform supporting IIS. Over the years, I had refreshed the look-and-feel and deployed the second and third generations of the intranet based on the changes and requirements of each business unit. Technologies used was MS SiteServer's Content Management System using ASP, VBscript and HTML. Using this CMS as the underlying foundation, I created a workflow to allow each business unit to manage their own content.

As a member of the Applications Development team, I engaged in a wide-range of programming tasks from the Mainframe to the client\server era. Participated in major corporate application development along with departmental application development. Using MS Visual Basic, we created several applications that are still in production today. As Lead Programmer, my team implemented Legal Department applications that supported all OCC employees. Surprising, the mainframe corporate application stil exists today and has not been migrated over to newer technologies. IDMS and ADSO were the mainframe tools.

As a Systems Analyst for VTC, I was assigned to the implementation and support of the Training system for OCC in Washington, D.C. Responsibilities included online and batch processes written in ADS/O using IDMS on an AMDAHL mainframe.

As a Computer Programmer/Analyst, I was a task lead for the DACMS project at SAGE in Rockville. I implemented serveral online and batch subsystems while learning their proprietary productivity tools and methodology. As Task Lead, I provided technical expertise for junior staff members to help them meet their programming deadlines as well as onsite tier-two support for the Credit Management System. Technologies leveraged SAGE's proprietary software along with IDMS on an AMDAHL mainframe.

As a computer systems designer for MMDS in Greenbelt, I served as a member of the technical staff supporting the FECSL project for the Department of Labor. Responsibilities included system, business, program analysis for the design specifications. Application development utilized Cullinet's IDMS along with form-processing using ADS/O running on an IBM mainframe 43xx series.

Upon receiving my undergraduate degree, I joined Lupfer & Long, Inc. My experiences included working with financial packages and custom programming for Federal clients. Some of the clients listed were GM, FHLBB, ASC, HBH, and many others performing programming tasks on mainframes and minicomputers.
