Duties and responsibilities:•Architectural Design of projects including conceptual and detailed design.•Preparation of related specifications and Researches for building products. •Prepare scale drawings of layouts, elevations and sections; Prepares interior, exterior design and Plan layout of project.•Discussing the objectives, requirements and budget of a project; consulting with other professionals about design; preparing and presenting feasibility reports and design proposals to the client; advising the client on the practicality of their project.•Using IT in design and project management, specifically using Revit, 3Dmax, computer-aided design software.•Keeping within financial budgets and deadlines; producing detailed workings, drawings and specifications.•Project managing and helping to coordinate the work of contractors.•Controlling a project from start to finish.•Work at site to check the progress, ensuring that the project is running on time and to budget;•Resolving problems and issues that arise during construction.•Consult with client to determine functional and spatial requirements of structure.•Direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents. •Responsible for project’s general technical coordination and compile works of all design sections to ensure compliance before submit them to the project management.•Attend various meetings to coordinate between different design sections.•Prepare projects’ initial designs, architectural studies, final designs and drawings.•Prepare BOQ & technical specification tables regarding architectural works.•Conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.

• Responsible for site supervision, quality assurance of field activities, monitoring progress quantify works conducted on site and monitor safety standards. •Supervise junior level Site architects and reports directly to the Project Manager.•Check the drawings and specifications of the project and should ensure that the Inspectors are keeping a close watch on the quality of materials and workmanship. • Checking Any cases of incorrect materials or workmanship and a site Observation notice(SON) issued immediately with a copy to the Project Director.•Review and approve Contractors quality control procedures.•Checking the inspector’s daily reports, seeing that progress on site, receiving Contractor’s daily report,weekly report and monthly report.Receiving Contractor’s request for inspection schedule and informing inspectors accordingly.•Keep record and attend to all site and factory tests conducted on materials for the project.•Update approved drawings to indicate variation to As-Built Conditions•To maintain control of the project approved drawings and materials with their catalogue and manufacturer’s instructions.•to monitor and check the Contractor Interim measurement of work on a monthly basis and keep records and submit them to the Quantity Surveyor(QS) for final billing.•To monitor the Contractors progress against the approved construction program and inform any delay to the Project/Site Manager.•Constant touch with the Contractor’s staff and keep aware of the Contractor’s immediate intentions and future action.•All instructions given to the Contractor’s Engineer in respect of drawings and specification should be given in the form of a site memo. •Authority to hold work until all the necessary preliminary preparations have been made, and to forbid the use of materials or workmanship not in accordance with the specification. •Where unsatisfactory work has been done, the Senior Architect should issue site memo instructing remedial action.
