As the Lead Project Coordinator, Financial Advisor, and PPP Expert on the government project management team for the Karachi Yellow Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project, I oversee the bus procurement, operations, and overall implementation of this World Bank-funded initiative. This groundbreaking project, which focuses on women empowerment and environmental sustainability, is Pakistan's first BRT under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.My responsibilities include managing the procurement process for buses, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the successful deployment and operation of the BRT system. The project aims to improve urban mobility, provide safe and accessible transportation for women, and contribute to reducing the city’s carbon footprint through the integration of a fully electric bus fleet.Through this role, I am contributing to a transformative project that supports both social inclusion and environmental goals, ensuring that the Karachi Yellow Line meets the needs of all commuters while advancing sustainable urban development.
