Majority of my work experience has been in Secondary Education. I have had the privilege of teaching grades 6th-12th grades. I have specialized in Communications (Speech), English, Theatre Arts, Dyslexia, and 504 Services. My duties included, but not limited to, researching, planning, and implementing lessons in a classroom that is structured for multi cultural and diverse learners. Created lessons that encompassed and assessed the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills provided by the state in preparation for state assessments. Implemented a diverse learning environment for all students in order to help students achieve success in all aspects of their education.During a brief time away from education, I was Asst. Director of Quality Management for the Big Spring State Hospital. In that position I was required to perform the following tasks: writing and editing of procedures and standards within the hospital, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports that required analysis of various data to determine the outliers and assess and discuss in a committee possible solutions to solve the issue, implement new policy and procedure, and assess any improvements or declines. Particpate in a variety of focus groups ranging from environmental standards of the hospital to patient rights. In addition, my role was responsible for facility esthetics to create an inviting environment for the clients and the staff.
